A little bit of this ... and a little bit of that
Loads of chaos in the nature of the weather this week. So unfortunately lots of little details about this weeks weather, which may or may not materialize. The big picture is dominated by a continental influence for Eastern parts, which is set to continue until the end of the week. A strong south-easterly flow will drive a very moist and very unstable air-mass into the East coast. During Monday afternoon into Tuesday afternoon this is likely to lead to thundery rainfall from East-Anglia up to south-east Scotland as the warm and moist air comes face to face with as Atlantic occlusion. [See weather warning].
Wednesday is likely to see sunny and hot weather for the south-west, South Wales and parts of the west Midlands associated with a ridge of High. Either side of this fine weather cloudy weather is likely to reside, with light rain and cloud will affect the East, and cloudy skies will affect the north-west and much of Scotland. Thursday and Friday see some windy and damp weather in Northern Ireland and NW Scotland as a settled theme continues for much of England and Wales.
By the weekend hot and sunny weather looks like it will make a return, but watch out for the rogue super-cell development from the continent.
