Our ground-based network of moving sensors will be available to UK cycle outlets during the coming years. The housing will integrate GIS, satellite navigation positioning and near-ground earth observation (EO) sensors to detect various aspects of the rural environment. These will stream a continuous / seasonal source of data to space validation teams and will also be made available for researchers and e-learning organisations.
We expect that the service will be free for qualifying bicycle hire networks, based on the density of cycle networks, range of terrain and cycle miles per bike per year. There will be opportunities to subscribe to e-learning resources and for additional services for local visitor centres.
Data gathered by cyclist network will include atmospheric composition and geophysical parameters, which will be used for ...
- Knowledge Transfer: Climate Change Awareness Campaigns
- E-learning Software & Services for Education
- Validation with other Remotely Sensed Data
